HANDMADE DIARY -2023

Hello friends,

Welcome to 2023. I am making these diaries for myself from past 5 years and I can’t tell you how satisfying it is . It not only saves me money for an expensive organiser but also gives me a more personalised pages, where I can journal, draw, write notes. 

This way I use up all my scrap left over papers from my previous projects. I keep the diary small so that it’s easy to carry anywhere, and fits in a small bag without taking much space. This diary is about 6.5 in x 5 in , and the spine is 2 in. It holds removable pages so that I can add or remove papers when I want. Makes my life so much easy, so once I am done with some task I just remove the page and add another one if needed.

This is how the finished diary looks like 👍.

I made the cover with an old cardboard box (this is one of the ways I recycle old boxes )  

The inside looks like this , first few pages are of important notes. Then the month wise Callander starts where I use one page for one day, so I have enough to write/draw, doodle or journal.

The monthly pages look like this were I write important dates, or mark an event etc. 

Now it was time to decorate the cover so I covered the base with left over brown paper, then to make the spine stronger, I added a handmade paper to it. 

Here I added 2 pockets on starting and last page of my diary so I could hold small papers, visiting cards, notes, bills photographs etc. 

Don’t bother about the uneven spine, once the papers comes on it, all gets covered. 

And this is the final result, yes it looks too simple, but I love simple and minimalist designs. Ideal for my daily work. I love it hope you like it too. To see the video
